cancellations · what happens if you change your mind.

This refund policy reproduces exactly the cancellation grid from the terms of service. Three tiers, plus a force-majeure clause if something is beyond both of us. We apply the grid without discussion; the force-majeure clause is discussed, by email.
Cancellation grid
| Timeframe | Customer refund | Camp obligation |
|---|---|---|
| ≥ 30 days | 100% (less Stripe fees) | Allotment released, no charge |
| 14–29 days | 50% | Camp invoices OAA at 50% of wholesale |
| 7–13 days | 0% | Camp invoices OAA at 100% of wholesale |
| < 7 days or no-show | 0% | Camp invoices OAA at 100% of wholesale |
Force majeure
If the stay cannot be performed due to force majeure (natural disaster, government travel ban, airport closure, war, civil unrest, pandemic public-health measures), the customer is refunded 100% and the host camp invoices OAA at 50% of wholesale. The loss is shared 50/50 between OAA and the host camp.
Date change
A single date change is permitted up to 14 days before the original stay date, subject to availability, at the same wholesale rate. Date-change requests within 14 days of the stay are treated as cancellation under the standard grid above.
Stripe processing fees (1.4% to 2.9% of retail) are deducted from any customer refund. This deduction reflects the fee Stripe withheld on the original capture and which is not returned to OAA on refund.
