the questions people really ask us.
We get, by email, about a hundred and eighty messages a season. Twelve questions come back every time. Here are our answers, written as we would write them to a friend who was wondering.
The season runs from October to April: that is when the North Atlantic sends its long swells, with the water around sixteen to eighteen degrees. Summer, gentler, is ideal for beginners.
Even in the depth of winter we keep more sheltered fall-back spots for beginners — you can learn to surf here all year round.
No. The beaches around Mirleft offer gentle, forgiving waves, perfect for a first time, and every session is supervised.
Many people arrive having never set foot on a board. We start from wherever you are.
The week includes accommodation, full-board meals and supervised surf sessions. A thirty-percent deposit confirms the booking; the balance is settled before arrival.
The detailed rates are on the stays page. We would rather give a clear price than a fake discount.
Yes, from six years old, mostly for practical reasons: the house isn't built for very young children, and dinners run fairly long.
If you're coming as a family with children aged six to twelve, tell us in advance; we adapt the room layout.
Yes, and many do. The house is small, the atmosphere homely and quiet: you're never a number in a big camp.
We arrange the transfers and stay reachable before arrival — so you can set off with an easy mind.
Yes. Yoga is in the afternoon, often facing the ocean, to loosen what the waves have worked. It is optional.
Surf in the morning, yoga in the afternoon, a shared dinner in the evening: we alternate effort and release.
One supervised session a day, at eight in the morning on the headland. An optional second session is decided the evening before, depending on conditions.
If you don't surf at all, say so; plenty of guests never surf. The house isn't a wave factory.
The nearest airport is Agadir (Al Massira), about two hours' drive away. We arrange the transfer to the house.
The road hugs the ocean: you already see the spots go by before you arrive.
Yes. Boards and wetsuits are provided on site, matched to your level and the season.
If you have a favourite board of your own, you're welcome to bring it — but nothing is required.
Yes, full board: breakfast and dinner are cooked at the house, with produce from the week's market.
At midday we're often out — between a session and a walk — so lunch is left freer.
We offer packages of three, five or seven nights, with a desert variant. Three nights for a taste, seven to truly settle into the rhythm of the place.
By the third morning something shifts: you start watching the sea rather than enduring it.
Yes. Up to thirty days before arrival, we refund the deposit. Between thirty and fourteen days, we keep the deposit but charge nothing else.
If you fall ill on the day of your flight, write to us first: we have already refunded honest cases in full.
